Have you decided on hardwood floors and are now ready to have them installed? We are here to help you with your new hardwood floor installation. We have over 20 years of experience with hardwood floor installation. We work hard to make sure that your new hardwood floors are installed correctly for decades of beautiful, functional and long-lasting flooring. There are a few things that you can do before we come to your home to install your new hardwood floors. Below are four things you can do before your hardwood floor installation to make the process run smoothly:
- Remove the doors – Removing the doors in your home will help the installers be able to move and work more quickly.
- Remove baseboards – Depending on the type of baseboards, it is common to need to remove either the entire baseboard or just the base shoe moldings. We can help you determine if and how much of your baseboards need to be removed.
- Dust control – We do our very best to limit the amount of dust during your hardwood floor installation. Our efforts are never perfect. You can do a few additional things like use plastic sheets and masking tape to close off areas of the home not getting new floors.
- Outdoor cutting area – We will need to make a lot of cuts in the wood floors during the installation process. To help reduce dust, a covered outside cutting area is nice, but not required.
